Brad Arnold, the singer and drummer for the rock band 3 doors downrevealed in a social media video Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with step 4 kidney cancer. The group’s upcoming tour with Confession Cancel as a result, he said.
The singer for 2000 Smash “Kryptonite” shared the sober news about his advanced cancer diagnosis into a minute long Instagram video.
“Hello everyone, it’s Brad from three doors down. I hope you have a fantastic day today,” he started and addressed the fans from a park bench. “Have some not so good news for you today. So I had been sick a couple of weeks ago and then went to the hospital and got checked out, and actually was diagnosed that I had a clear cell’s kidney cell carcinoma that had metastasized in my lung. And it is step four, and that is not really good.
“But do you know what?” Mississippi -in -born continued. “We earn a powerful God and he can overcome anything. So I have no fear. I’m really sincere is not afraid of it at all. But it will force us to cancel our tour this summer. And we are sorry for it. And I would love you to lift me in prayer every chance you get. And ithink it is not time”
The song referred to by Arnold, “It’s Not My Time”, was one of 3 Doors Down’s biggest hits, a triple-plateine single that reached No. 1 on adult contemporary and mainstream Rock Airplay diagram in 2008 and topped on No. 1 on Hot 100.
“Thank you very much,” concluded Arnold. “God loves you. We love you. We’ll see you.”
The singer shared a similar message in the text image for his video and wrote: “Thanks for all the memories so far. Now I think” It’s not my time “is really my song. This will be a battle so we need our prayer warriors! Thank you for being the best fans in the world. We love you!”
Several co -celebrities singers showed up almost immediately in his response with exhibitions. Wrote Creed’s Scott Stapp: “If anyone has faith and strength to meet this struggle, it is you, brother. You and your family are in my prayers daily. We can do everything through Christ. I can speak for us all, we lift you in prayer right now and believe without doubt for your total healing! I love you bridge.”
Chris Daughtry simply wrote, “Send you Love My Brother”, with couples of bean hands and purple hearts.
“Love Light Prayer Power Brad,” wrote Rob Halford.
Farther outside the band’s genre, but within the faith community, Country replied Sara Evans: “Will pray for you every day! We earn a powerful God! To think you will be completely healed in Jesus’ name.” Country singer Randy Houser went with her to say, “You’re in my prayers.” And actor Ricky Schroder replied: “Be.”
National Cancer Institute Clearly describes the kidney cell cancer of the cell (CCRC) as the most common type of kidney cancer. Treatments, depending on how advanced the disease has become, may involve immunotherapy and partial or complete removal of the kidney.
3 doors down were performed on a “Summer of “99 and Beyond Cruise” last month, invoiced between the like -minded bands Creed and Collective Soul. This summer, Arnold’s group would support Creed on a live-prescribed “Return of the Summer of ’99” tour, with Mammoth WVH opening, which played dates from July 7 to August 14.
