Like “Conclave”, the film highlights the process of transitioning power and humanizes the religious leaders.

Next is Paul Schraders “First Reformed”, with Ethan Hawke. Hawk plays a lonely, mourning priest named Ernst Toller, who in a small town struggles with faith after his son’s death. His life takes a turn when he has a learning with an environmental activist and his pregnant wife. While he is at nominal value, “first reformed” centers on a man of faith, it analyzes the background film Christianity and the actions of people who claim to be faithful supporters of it.

“The Godfather” (1972)
Okay, hear us. It is not a straight up the pope, but it is a movie about a man’s gradual ascent to the highest leadership title-in this case The Godfather. In “The Godfather” Michael Corleone, son of Don, reluctantly goes with his father’s mafia, and he experiences the violent and political reality to be in a criminal family. When his father dies, Michael, who is best suited to replace him, deepens deeper into the family, where more dangers and larger payments find him. In addition, Michael originally never wanted the position, just like how Cardinal Lawrence opposed to be the next pope.

“Immaculate”
In Michael Mohan’s frightening church “Immaculate”, Sydney Sweeney covers as an American nun named Cecilia, who joins a covenant in a remote area embedded in the countryside. But the dark secrets of the Holy mansion come alive in the form of scary disorders and bloody hunts that leave you at the edge of your place, speechless. Remind yourself of any of the wild secrets that emerged in the Vatican in “Conclave”? Just the secrets, not the supernatural events.

Ok, another who may seem like it is out of the ball park to be like “conclave” – but it is not! Like Edward Berger’s dramatic thriller, in “12 angry men”, a seclerated group of men must meet to make a huge decision with massive moral consequences.

“We have a pope” (2011)
Last but not least, Nanni Moretti’s “We have a pope”, who takes a comic path to produce the story of the choice of a new pope after the death of the former leader. Besides comedy, doesn’t it sound like “Conclave”? But in this story, when the Pope is selected, he undergoes a panic attack, and the church is forced to bring in a therapist for him.
