The federal criminal charges and civilian trials against Sean “Diddy” Combs are the focus of an upcoming podcast series from ABC NewsOne of the programs in its sound division’s new programming slate focused on real crime.
“Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy”, which is hosted by ABC News legal contributors and lawyer Brian Buckmire, will premiere on Tuesday 25 March. The podcast will be supported by “20/20“And ABC News’ Global Newsgathing Team. It is the first of ABC Audio’s ongoing series of “20/20” true-crime show.
The podcast “will trace how whispers of abuse came and led to the fantastic federal allegations and civil trials that Diddy is now facing,” according to ABC News.
The first six episodes of “Bad Rap” will cover the background about the charges against Combs and his claims of innocence. After the first run is over, the series will be retrieved with twice a week episode during Comb’s trial with “real -time updates”, according to ABC News. Jury selection for Comb’s trial will start May 5 and the trial itself is planned to start May 12.
Earlier this month, federal prosecutors submitted a second compensation Against Combs in their ongoing sex trading and racketeering, cases against him, and emphasized new allegations of abuse and forced labor to their employees. It came after A first extended prosecution Against Chamber in January which included two new female victims and accused him of conducting criminal behavior four years earlier than previously stated. Combs on March 14 did not appeal guilty to the replacement prosecution.
“Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy” is one of the anchor shows at ABC Audio’s new podcast slate in collaboration with “20/20”, as it says will give “always on real criminal content.” The new podcasts will join ABC News’ flagship Daily News Podcast “Start here” and the popular “20/20” podcast. ABC Audio is also available today and is also launching a new “20/20 True Crime” channel on Apple Podcasts.
Launch Monday (March 17) is “20/20: The After Show”, a weekly show hosted by “20/20” Medankare Deborah Roberts. It is a companion to the TV news magazine, which is broadcast on Fridays at ABC. In “20/20: The After Show”, listeners can hear the story behind every week’s section and access exclusive bonus material.
ABC Audio “Crime Scene Weekly”, hosted by Brad Mielke, host and editor -in -chief of “Start here”, will focus on buzzy subjects in the actual crime space every week. Premier Thursday March 20, “Crime Scene Weekly” will include ABC News correspondents along with a list of analysts and experts.
Later this spring, ABC Audio will release narrative podcast “What happened to Holly Bobo?” Host of Eva Pilgrim, Medker for “GMA3: What you need to know.” As reported by “20/20”, Holly Bobo disappeared in 2011 and triggered the largest murder investigation in the Tennessee history after the young nursing student was kidnapped from his home.
