The Country Music Academy announced the special honores for 2025 ACM awards Show on Wednesday, with honorary awards that will go to top songwriters and managers in Nashville as well as a number of countries’ stop stars. The ceremony will take this year in a new location, Nashville’s recently opened Pinnacle, August 20.
Eric Church, Luke Combs, Gelé reelCody Johnson, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis and Lainey Wilson will be awarded among the artists’ trail. Mac Mcanally and Jessi Jo Dillon represent the songwriter’s world in this year’s Kudos, while Lori Badgett and Ben Vaughn Will be celebrated for work behind the scenes in Nashville, and the movie “Twisters” will get its own ACM Award Part. (Prices for Wilson and Dillon were announced earlier.)
Artists for the event will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets are sold to Academy members and ACM news letter subscribers in a sales on Thursday, and the public can start buying tickets via AXS on Friday.
“Twisters” will receive the ACM Film Award, which is obviously not published every year, for a project that appearance has country music, as this film’s country-focused 29-track soundtrack did. The trophy had previously gone to films from “A Star is Born” and “O Brother, there are you?” All the way back to the 50-year-old “Nashville.”
Country Superstar Eric Church and Ben Vaughn will each be awarded – posthumously, in the latter case – with the ACM icon Prize, generally seen as the highest life of the academy. Vaughn was one of the most visible and long-term leaders in the Nashville music industry and served as President-Vo for Warner Chappell Music Nashville until his death in January. Former icon receiver extends from Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard to Joe Galante and Mike Dungan.
Luke Combs, one of the country stars whose appeal has been shown to translate most in parts of the world where the genre is not as dominant, will receive the ACM International Award for its promotion of country music abroad.
The recording artist and radio host Rissi Palmer will receive ACM Lift Every Voice Award, which is presented to someone who is a leader in ensuring that under -represented voices have a platform in the country. Still, one of the few black women who has affected the usual land diagrams, Palmer has affected with their Apple Music program “Color Me Country”, now in the fifth year.
The ACM Lifting Lives award will go to the Jelly role for its philanthropic work and grants, including his advocates for the causes of young people, the prison community, fentanyl abuse and mental health treatment.
Randy Travis will retrieve the ACM Milestone Award, designated specifically for work performed during the last calendar year, where the academy quoted his work in the use of AI to replicate the singing voice he lost and advocates for stroke awareness and health care rights.
Mac Macanally is set to get ACM Poet’s Award, an honor assigned to Nashville’s most valuable songwriter.
The ACM Service Award will go to Lori Badgett, who goes to an artist and/or industry leader who has been devoted to promoting the academy’s work. Badgett is a cornerstone at City National Bank in Nashville, where the academy says that she “now plays an integrated role in serving a majority of the city’s country music”, and she has been chairman of both the academy of country music and its charity arm, ACM -lifting life.
ACM Spirit Award has been reserved for top star Cody Johnson. This award is earmarked for an artist who has continued in the tradition of Merle Haggard, where the academy quotes his success as he followed a traditional country sound.
Among the awards that were previously announced, Lainey Wilson will receive ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year Award, while Jessie Jo Dillion will retrieve the ACM Songwriter of the Year Award who is awarded Tunesmiths that does not act as recording artists.
