Amazon MGM Studios sets international distribution agreement with Sony Pictures


Amazon MGM Studios has found its partner for its ambitious international theater exhibitions in Sony Pictures. The two studios have concluded a distribution agreement with several years that will watch Sony release films “After the Hunt”, “Mercy”, “Crime 101” and “Project Hail Mary” abroad.

The deal comes when Amazon’s international distribution agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures end. After the aforementioned slate of films has been released, Amazon MGM will release its titles abroad directly, but the deal gives the studio time to put its international plans.

In fact, Luca Guadagnino’s “After the hunt” Will start the partnership with a Limited edition on October 10 before it went wide on October 17. The psychological drama received a first prize for first prize and stars Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny. Longtime Guadagnino Collaborators Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Will also return as composers.

Bart Layton’s “Crime 101” will follow on February 13th. The adaptation of Don Winslow’s crime novel has Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Tate Donovan, Devon Bostick, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nick in its all-Star.

Finally Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s “Project Hail Mary” will end the deal on March 20. Space Adventure Epic Stars Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller and Milana Vayntrub.
