Are boutique fitness classes really better than the gym?

As someone who played sports in high school and stayed active in college and then I have tried many different workouts in many different environments over the years. And I want to get a thing out of the way really fast: no form of exercise is better than another. As long as you move your body in a way you like, keep doing what you do.

With that said I have a leg to choose with Boutique Fitness classes. You know, those who take place in Super Dark Rooms, Music Blaring, influencers are abundant – all for the low, low price of $ 300 per month? I’ll stay here to spend less than $ 50 per month with my peloton subscription and setting of the home consisting of a desktop biketwo sets of dumbbells, some resistance ties and a Yoga.

“The essential thing for a good workout includes your own body weight, a rug and maybe some dumbbells or resistance ties,” says Stephens. “A good exercise should raise your heart rate and work several muscles.”

Pilates, for example, is good for your body anywhere you do – whether you are in the trendiest studio or on a rug in your living room. You are still working on your core and improve your posture.

I think my gymnastics set is just as good – if not better – than a boutique fitness class. I have access to all the same amenities that a nice studio offers – smoothies, protein bars and definitely a better shower – without the astronomical monthly cost. I even have a cat cheering on me from her bed in the corner of the room. Until your studio gets a resident cat, I’m not interested.
