Babyface, Chappell Roan interviewer apologizes for awkward moment


An associated press -reporter on Gramm Red Carpet Sunday apologized for stopping an interview with Babyface to send his microphone to Chappell Roan in what became a viral social media.

A viral clip published to X shows Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz who talk to the producer and singer writer Babyface before Fauria calls for the roan behind him. Babyface turns and notices the Roan and tells reporters to continue an interview with her instead. Ambriz apologizes to Babyface before accepting his microphone and gave it to the Roan as she approached.

In another video from later under Grammy’s Red Carpet Night, Bad Fauria, who stood with Ambriz as well as AP reporter Gary Gerard Hamilton, apologize to the viewers for the uncomfortable exchange.

“I wanted to say I’m really sorry for canceling Babyface before. Chappell Roan had come up, and there were a lot of rebellion as there are on these rugs. But I’m a big babyface fan and like all of us, and so I just wanted to say that I really apologize, ”Fauria said.

Babyface is a 13-time Grammy winner. The “Pink Pony Club” artist Roan is a first nominated at this year’s prizes and won the best new artist halfway through the ceremony.

This year’s Grammy ceremony is partly dedicated to paying attention to Wildfire Relief Collection efforts. Recording Academy and Musicares has recently created a fundraiser to support those in the music industry that have been affected by the fire fires, which swept over the communities Pasadena, Altadena and Malibu.
