Ben Affleck Has shared one of the reasons he believes his view of Bruce Wayne, Alias Batman, in Warner Bros. Pictures’ short-lived, then abandoned Snyder verses did not land with the studio or any viewers.
On the question of his experience of working within Zack Snyder’s doomed DC Comics-inspired universe, Affleck said GQ“I had a really good time. I loved to make the Batman movie. I loved ‘Batman v Superman.’ And I liked my short stints on ‘The Flash’ as I did and when I got to work with Viola Davis on ‘Suicide Squad’ for a day or two. “
As I reflect on, Affleck, “When it comes to creative, I really think I like the idea and ambition I had for the one of that kind of older, broken, injured Bruce Wayne.”
“It was something we really went for in the first movie,” Affleck continued. “But what happy was it started to skew too old for a big part of the audience. Like even my own son at the time was too scared to watch the movie. And so when I saw that I was like, ‘oh s – t, we have a problem.’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” that Affleck Says Planted The Seeds For The Rift Between Warner Bros. and the director.
“You had a filmmaker who wanted to continue on the road and a studio who wanted to regain all the younger audience on cross -purpose purposes,” he explained. “Then you have two units, two people really want to do something different and it’s a really bad recipe.”
Affleck, like stars opposite Jon Bernthal in the coming “The auditor 2,” Also looked back at the notorious difficult, worried production of 2017’s “Justice League”, and called it a “really incredible experience.”
“There are a number of reasons why,” pronounced Affleck. “And they don’t all have to do with the simple dynamics to say, to be in a superhero movie or whatever.” While he can still respect the ambition for what he and Snyder wanted to do with the caped crusader, he confirmed to GQ that he has no interest in returning to DC Comics world – or Something else superhero universe.
“I’m not interested in going down the special genre again,” admitted Affleck. “Not because of the bad experience, but only: I have lost interest in what was of interest to it to me.”
