Big machine Label Group launches a new impression called Ascend Music in collaboration with the music industry’s manager Joel Klaiman. The new label will specialize in breaking and strengthening talent talent, with the first slate of signings revealed this week.
BMLG founder, chairman and CEO, Scott Borchetta and Klaiman initially cooperated in 2008 to promote to promote Taylor Swift“Love Story”, which became the first song that topped both Country Radio and Pop Radio charts, which also affects Airplay and sales charts both in the US and internationally.
Borchetta launched Big Machine Label Group 2005, with the label group’s current program list including Thomas Rhett, Riley Green, Brett Young, Midland and Jack Wharff Band.
“Joel’s energy, vision and passion are contagious, and he never leaves any stone reverse when he works with an artist,” Borchetta says in a statement. “He brings great artists to the partnership, and we will not waste time getting out some game change music.”
Klaiman was previously CEO of Republic Records in the department for marketing and artist development. He and Borchetta worked with Fast‘S “fearless”, “speak now” and “red”, as the team achieved global success with the Grammy-winning singer over several genres.
