Two weeks after catastrophic fires first broke out in Los Angeles County, communities in the region are coming together to help recover. Sid The Cat, Mike Viola and Tyler Chester announced on Friday the “I Love LA” Eaton Fire Relief benefit concert featuring Andrew Bird, Bright eyesDavid Longstreth (of Dirty Projectors), Delicate Steve, Ethan Tasch and more on the lineup.
The event promises to be “an evening of music and fellowship to benefit the people affected by the Eaton fire” and will take place at Glendale Presbyterian Church on February 8 with proceeds going to Sweet Relief Musicians Fundto benefit musicians – with financial relief going towards loss of equipment, medical bills from the resulting events and living expenses – affected by the fires.
The lineup also includes Jim James, Kelcey Ayer, Kevin Morby, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, The Milk Carton Kids, Molly Burch, Strawberry Guy, Uwade and Watkins Family Hour, with more special guests to be announced.
This is just the latest in a massive list of concert benefits to be announced in recent weeks. Several shows have been planned for the coming weeks, with the biggest yet FireAidscheduled to include performances from Lady Gaga, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry, Sting, No Doubt, Jelly Roll, Lil Baby, Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and more on January 30 at the Inuit Dome and Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
Tickets for “I Love LA” will be available for purchase starting January 24 at 10 a.m. PT.
