In a world there “Sephora Kids” Is alive and good, it is easy to think that stubborn skin problems are only reserved for the teens. Rinse until now, and we compensate for lost time.

What is Clearsilk?

Clearsilk is an ND: Yag laser (in laymen, a laser that can deep skin penetration) is ideal for treating unwanted face redness and rosacea, an inflamed vascular skin condition. Baptized “lunchtime facial” it works by depositing the heat deep below the skin’s surface, which stimulates fibroblast activity and the body’s natural repair process. According to Dr. Ghavami also helps the laser to reduce bacterial load over time with consistent use. “Everything that reduces vascular blood flow also helps to limit bacterial overgrowth, which is one of the causes of the vessel’s inflammation in patients with rosacea,” he says.

But reducing the appearance of redness is not the only advantage of treatment – Clearsilk can also improve the skin’s structure, which contributes to an overall smooth, glowing finish. In addition, Dr. Ghavami that it can reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. “All this combined helps improve the total skin quality,” says Dr. Ghavami. (If you want to reduce the appearance of dark spots or sun damage, you will have better Moxi -laser.)

Here is the best part: Unlike other more invasive facial treatments, Clearsilk can be done all year round, even in the summer (just stay away from the sun for 24 hours and wear a Physical sunscreen). It can also be used on skin pigments in all colors and people with all ethnic backgrounds, although Dr. Ghavami recommends that you avoid it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have active acne.

What one might expect during a Clearsilk -laser

One of the things I love about the Clearsilk laser is that it is fast, mild and does not require any anesthesia (sensitive skin, pleasing!). Before the treatment, I got the instructions to remove my entire face makeup and put on a pair of safety glasses. The machine goes up to level seven (I started with one level two on my first session, and at the fourth session I was at level six). Apart from a bit of a heated zap, I remained comfortable for the entire 10-minute treatment and felt no pain. Of course, the higher the settings, the spicy it will feel, but the good news is that the machine can detect the body temperature and will signal if it becomes above 107 degrees Fahrenheit. One thing to note: If you have any fine hairs on your face, you may feel more heat and experience a burning smell when the hair absorbs the heat of the laser in these areas.

My practitioner, Lena TcharfasThe laser focused on the areas I had the most redness, for example in the middle of my face, cheeks and nose. She also made some passes on her forehead to bump the glow in this area. There is no downtime in connection with the treatment – I experienced only a little flushing during treatment and immediately then dropped within hours.

Clearsilk can be done as often as every week and is ideal for combining with other treatments. “Due to the minimal downtime for Clearsilk, I usually want to add this Radio frequency micronedSince the redness that is stimulated by this treatment can be reduced and synergistically equalized with the addition of Clearsilk, says Dr. Ghavami. It can also be done in conjunction with deeper laser wavelengths, resumption treatments and light treatments.

My Clearsilk results

For me, Clearsilk came with both short and long-term benefits. For about five days after treatment, my skin was noticeably more glowing. I also had significantly less porce of view, and the overall structure of my skin improved, resulting in a more even makeup application.

When it comes to the long -term results, I noticed a more even skin tone during my four treatments, especially in the middle of my face where I had the most inflammation. While my rosacea is not completely extinct, I feel more confident in becoming makeup -free and plans to continue to have the treatment done if needed for maintenance.

If you get this treatment mainly for problems with redness, I recommend that you are smart about scheduling – get it done a few days before a special event so you can really reap the glowing benefits. Overall, Clearsilk is a great introductory laser treatment if you are new to lasers and are looking for a non-invasive way to calm redness while giving your skin a boost of radiance.
