Before Taylor Swift became NFL WAGS -AFRISKHOLM – Signature red lipAdapted bomber jacket, and everything – of course there have been other sports women and partners. Behind many of them at Kansas City Chiefs (plus 14 other NFL teams) are makeup artist Allison Kaye.

After starting its beauty industry a decade ago, Kaye’s entry into the Wags world came through the 2021 NFL draft. In April of that year she was given the opportunity to make the glamen for Sophie Scottwho is Mac Jones (the now quarterback by Jacksonville Jaguars) girlfriend. From that night, Word of Mouth made his magic. Other Wags started following her on Instagram, and soon afterwards the bookings for the game day came in.

“I thought that makeup for the NFL draft was an opportunity once in a lifetime, but it turned into something much bigger,” she tells PS. “My favorite part is that now teams will fly me out to make up for Sunday game days.”

Here is exactly how a day in a Wag’s makeup artist is.

Get ready for game day

First, it is worth noting that Kaye is employed by WAGS itself – not NFL. Because of that is “my schedule randomly.”

Kaye shares her time between Cleveland and Miami, so during the football season she will often glam up the cradle from Browns and the Dolphins team in each respective city. This means that she also has to fly out to each other team plays, which is paid by her Wags clients. “Last year I flew out by Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington commanders, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars to make glam in place for a home game this season,” she says.

When it comes to Show Day’s Day, she will usually go to either their house or hotel two to three hours before Kickoff, and works with somewhere from two to eight wags per match, addicted. “The girls like to come to Stadium early because they can go on the pitch and say hello to their men and get photos before the game,” she says, adding that she sends each client with her own “makeup touch kit” to apply for if needed.

While she have Made a little light-touch makeup for athletes-Mestadels a small foundation, concealer and eyebrows-for photoshoots are game day makeup mostly for wags.

Her game day makeup choice

The makeup sees varies depending on WAG’s preferences, but usually her clients choose a “neutral soft glam”, she says, which usually involves a means of full-fundament, redness, bronzer, neutral or pink lip color and neutral eye shadow. Even more important is that makeup stay puts all day.

To help, she is leaning on Tempted Airbrush Foundation ($ 52) “Because it is waterproof and sweat -proof.” Then she is enough for neutral shadows like the 12 shades in Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette ($ 50) and Dibs Beauty Duo blushes, both powder Duet ($ 34) and the cream Desert island ($ 36). For the lips, Kaye swears by Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Products “because they are long wear and mix nicely on the face.” (We personally recommend the brand Lip cheat lip feed ($ 25) for the same reason.)

If you are looking for a Quick approved lip pickWe recommend her proven Pat McGrath Labs Floating Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick ($ 34) In the shade Elson 4. “Many teams can’t wear a classic red lip because of the teams’ colors but I know some of the Chiefs girls love to wear red lipstick for them matches it, it matches it,” she says .

Her Super Bowl Beauty Prep

Like years earlier, where she gleamed six wives by Kansas City Chief’s player, Kaye was busy with her makeup brush before 2025 Super Bowl -No, not on Swift (which has its own glam -team, which you would imagine a globally known pop Star Might) – But for Wags from both Chiefs and the Eagles team.

“When I curate the game day, I always look for (inspiration) photos and to them to tell them what they are wearing,” she says. “A majority of the customers who hire me tell me that they trust me and to glam them with what would be my signature glam, a neutral soft glam.”

Whether you are one Big football fan and looked at the game itself or you just tuned in for Fear of missingYou have to admit: It was a night to remember.
