Cowgirl Bob Haircut before and after photos

Admittedly, I am someone who changes hair frequently and sometimes on a whim. Changing my hair feels like a fun and easy way to express my personal style and match which vibe I have been in recently – usually something wild. I love having fun with my hair and I’m not very tied to it, so big cutlets and lively colors (aka Lots of Bleach for My Natural Dark Brown Mop) is a regular part of my rotation.

Last year I experimented with a split-dye mulletand while I loved the finished product it was very of maintenance, both with daily styling and maintenance in the salon. So after playing with a little light red and purple, I started to let it grow out and tried to remove the hair to mostly a color. It was when I was with shoulder length hair and a caramel ombre and I liked it, but I didn’t Love the. It just felt a little too boring to be me.

Then I saw the picture of Megan Fox’s “Cowgirl” Bob. I was already thinking about bringing my caramel tones to platinum, and this flirt, blunt, structured style felt like the perfect vibe to go with the new color – something would take it from a haircut to a hairstyle Without demanding daily styling.

I took the inspirational picture of Fox to my trusted stylist, Lindsay Yamashita on SB Beaute In Sherman Oaks, California, which I feel is familiar with my half -cut structure and what kind of vibes I like to strive for. I explained that I felt bored and wanted to bring back some wild style for my life – my only request was that I could still put my hair behind my ears. During our consultation, she said that some of the examples on Pinterest may become too heavy, but if she was aiming for a cut between square and structured (typically for Cowgirl) it should work. For the length we decided under the chin but still short enough for a distinction between the ends of my hair and my shoulders.

After the cut we went in for the color. Then, a couple of hours later, it was finally time to wash, condition and style. I was obsessed – the final product was exactly what we hoped for. The platinum color mixed with the simple style of cowgirl Bob achieved the perfect wild look for me to feel myself again. Now, weeks later, I still love it and can confirm that it is a very low maintenance style.

One thing to know if you also go after a cowgirl -Bob and have thick hair with a wavy or curly texture that mine is for this style to become flat, I also have deficit on both sides of my head. If I didn’t have these, this style would undoubtedly look like a triangle with ends that are much wider than the top. Just work with your stylist to decide what is most meaningful for your hair type.
