Two role members from “Everything Everywhere at once”, the Oscar-winning film by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, died recently-Waymond Lee, who died in December, and Biff Wiff, who died just last month. They played smaller characters in the movie – Wiff is seen as one of the customers at Evelyn’s (Michelle Yeoh) Laundromat and Lee shows up all over “Everything everywhere at once” – but their great personalities definitely made an impression and added to the beautiful, intoxicating pot that was the movie.
Kwan and Scheinert wanted to remember and honor their collaborators, so they sent their thoughts on the actors.

Is Lee: Waymond Lee first worked with us on an award-winning Foster the People Music video in 2011. He notoriously responded every la casting post he had time for. We loved him. He was hyper and strange and passionate and unique. We threw him in the background or foreground for every music video or short film we could for several years. Then gave him a lead role in a short film by us, “interesting ball.” Then we gave him a recurring background role in “Everything everywhere at once.” You can discover him in hundreds of pictures throughout the movie. Process the bagel. Sitting with Michelle. And you may have noticed that we called Ke Quan’s character after him. Our future films will not be the same without him. He will be missing.
On Wiff: Bill Wiff played memorable Evelyn’s favorite/least favorite customer at the washing tomato in “Everything everywhere at once.” He was hustled as an actor for decades and finally had a series of big breaks just at the end of his life and became an icon in Alt Comedy World to play Santa Claus in “I think you should leave.” He obviously also has the best name ever. Everyone in the Memoriam list is lucky to have such a name. Biff was a passionate, lovely, hard -working partner. It was a treatment to have him with us throughout our washing machine of the film that the audience knows is the heart of our film. We have his perfume bottle grenade in our office which will always remind us of him. He will be missing.
Daniels is currently working on a new function for Universal.
