Dawsons Creek’s Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson reunited for movie trilogy


Katie Holmes will write, direct and star in “Happy Hours”, a planned movie trilogy that will see her reunited with “Dawson’s Creek” co -star Joshua Jackson.

The duo will start as a couple of former young lovers who reunite as adults and navigate in their relationship when dealing with new challenges that affect their careers and families. The Dramedy trilogy will start production on the first film this summer, with the second and third payments planned to follow closely thereafter.

The lead role is also Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson and Jack Martin.

Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler produce for Maven Screen Media, together with Peter Coleman and Paula P. Manzanedo for Bond Street Station. STX films and crown productions are also linked to the project, with Annie Herndon who monitors for STX movies and Jenny Halper, Sophia Pedlow and Jackie Donohoe who monitor the mave.

Holmes, who outside the hit of the 90’s teenage drama “Dawson’s Creek” is best known for his work in “Batman Beggins”, directs for the fourth time in his career with this project, after making her director 2016 with the drama “All We had”, where she also played. She last appeared in Season 2 in the Peacock Mystery series “Poker Face” with Natasha Lyonne. She repped by Uta, Untitled and Vision PR.

Jackson last played in the ABC show “Doctor Odyssey”, as well as Sony’s “Karate Kid: Legends” Opposite Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. He repped by anonymous content, CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
