The stools came completely mounted when they were delivered, so it was as simple as pulling them out of the box. The wooden frame is made of high quality, locally furnished teak and has a beautiful finish that melts seamlessly into the wicker chair and wicker. They are elegant and minimal yet down -to -earth and welcoming.
My biggest fear was that the synthetic lead on the seat and back would be scraped and uncomfortable, but I don’t notice it at all when I sit on them. Cording is robust and supportive but has just enough flexibility so that it does not feel too firm and is smooth enough not to feel irritating to bare skin.
This is where my children sit to eat a majority of their meals, so food and drinks are constantly spilled on them. I can use a soaped towel to easily wipe sticky syrup, rock hard pieces of dried oatmeal and pizza sauce and the stool dries quickly. After using them daily for a few months, they honestly still look brand new. My 6-year-old even stands and sometimes jumps off them and there is no visible wear or tear.
