Although I am disgust to admit it, I am one Skin picker. Even when I. Know I should brush my teeth, get my butt in the shower and go to bed, sometimes I am slowly climbing on my bathroom bench, places myself comfortably in my sink and then goes to town on my face in front of my well -lit mirror. Is it wrong? Yes. Do it sometimes feel so, so right? Again, yes. The problem? After picking you can definitely tell us what just went down.

Afterwards, my face is always red, swollen and inflamed. I usually choose to ice it-or even leave it alone-but I recently discovered a product that has made my postpickingly scary Halloween meet a thing of the past: Hero Cosmetics Rescue Patch ($ 18).

What i like with the hero rescue patch

I have struggled with dry skin all my life. I always look for ways to keep my face and body hydrated, but since I am also acne prone, there is a thin line between products that keep me moist and products that are too thick or intense and break me out. Although I have sensitive skin, I have found that these spots do not cause irritation or eruption – even when I choose to carry them overnight for extra hydration.

Now that I live in Los Angeles, I spend a lot of time on the beach, especially in the summer. Even though I wear a hat, lots of SPF and sit under an umbrella half the time, leave swimming in the sea my skin to feel hard and dry. I have found to use these spots after a weekend in the salt and the sun improves how my skin feels.

In addition, as mentioned earlier, they are fantastic to use after I have made a deep dive in my face – a habit I try to stop but sometimes slip up. These spots help to calm redness, they are easy to apply and they do not slip off my face while I put around my house.

How to use heroic saving patches

The brand says that you should start by scaling the patches and separating them, which will reveal the cream on the inner sides. From there, apply them to clean, dry skin, the cream side down. Leave them on for at least 15 minutes, and when you take them off you can rub in the excess product.

They are intended to be used two to three times a week – or when you feel that your skin needs extra hydration, and the best time to use them is right after cleaning before applying other products.

Personally, I like to use them after I have experienced Zits – especially after I have chosen on my face. I throw them while working from home and sit in front of my computer all day. They are also good after long days on the beach. In that case, I usually sleep in them so that my skin can absorb the hydration for as long as possible. Another plus? They are good for keeping your skincare routine in pace even in the middle of busy work or school days.

What to think about before trying hero’s rescue patch

I have dry, acne inclined skin that is a bit reactive and this product worked especially well for me. But if you have oily skin, I would consult a dermatologist before I try this product or do a patch test to make sure it does not aggravate any oiliness. And if you do not want to connect to a cheek -cover note, you can choose Brand’s other offers that helps with post-containing care as much: the Hero Cosmetics Pore Perfection Pair ($ 32), Hero Cosmetics Pimple Patrol Duo ($ 28), Hero Cosmetics Blemish Control Duo ($ 28), and Hero Cosmetics Two to the Rescue ($ 27).
