Hong Kong Fight Club, a new fast channel with classic from John Woo, Chow Yun-Fat, Jet Li and Jackie Chan, will arrive in Shout! TV in August.
According to the official edition, the channel, from calls from call! Studios, a radial entertainment company, “shows off the absolute largest in ActionBio from Hong Kong’s cinematic golden age in the 80s and 90s. Restored from new 4K scanning, these fan favorites look better than ever. Among the titles that will meet Hong Kong Fight Club are John Woo masterpieces “Hard Cooked”, “The Killer”, “Bullet in the Head” and “A Better Tomorrow”, among many others.
The new channel is part of the rollout of the Golden Princess film library, which shouts! Studies acquired earlier this year and are believed to have been lost. The deal included 156 classics from the Golden Age of Hong Kong Cinema, many of which were printed or not published for many years. Scream! Has worked with the Hong Kong file market, to restore and remaster these films, all scanned in 4K from the original camera’s negative. The titles, which also have new audio and recently translated subtitles, will be released via digital platforms as well as in the Deluxe Physical Editions (Jet Li Box set comes out soon and it is a Stunner), until 2025 and 2026.
Hong Kong Fight Club will be launched on Shout! TV, the shout! TV app, Plex and Fawesome on August 1, Roku on August 19 and on the brand new Hong Kong Fight Club app throughout August (based on platform access).
