If you were to imagine the worst possible first date ever, would it include blackmail to kill your date during the threat of your son murdered? We really don’t hope.
But that is the case for Meghann Fahy in the new movie “Drop”. In it she plays a single mom on her way out on her first date of several years. While she is there, she begins to get mysterious messages from an unknown number and escalates in how threatening they are.
Filmmaker Christopher Landon is the author’s director of the film, after “We have a ghost” and hits such as “Freaky”, “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” and “Happy Death Day” films.

When will it come out?
“Drop” was released throughout the country on Friday, April 11, 2025.
Is it streaming?
It’s not. At the moment you can only catch “drop” in theaters. However, it is a universal movie, which means that it will probably go to the peacock when it is time for its streaming release. We’ll keep you updated when it gets. At the moment you can find tickets here.
What is “Drop” about?
As we mentioned, “Drop” really shows the first date from hell. While you are out for dinner with a very charming man (Brandon Sklenar), Violet (Fahy) begins to get instructions to kill him, otherwise her son will be murdered at home with a babysitter.
She must not be caught, nor must she tip anyone in an attempt to get help. The following is a truly terrible evening, where Violet tries to ensure that everyone comes out alive.

Violet Beane, Jacob Robinson and Ed Weeks star in the film together with Fahy and Sklenar.
