John Wick will return in “Chapter 5”, which it was officially announced on Tuesday that Lionsgate is under development on the next film in billions of Dollar franchise. The announcement was made on the Cinemacon scene by Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chairman Adam Fogelson.
Lionsgate collaborates with the development of the film with Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, Franchise Director and producer Chad Stahelski, and the star and producer Keanu Reeves.
The latest movie in the franchise, “John Wick: Chapter 4,” took over $ 440 million at the global cash office, with each of the first four films that performed the rare performance to exceed its predecessor.
“Keanu, Chad, Basil and Erica would not return if they had no really phenomenal and healthy to say with these characters and this world,” Fogelson said. “We can’t wait for the audience to see where the trip will take us next.”
Iwanyk and Lee added: “It’s so important to get this story right and give John’s story the right next step. It’s exciting to take the first step on that path.”
The franchise as a whole has earned over $ 1 billion on the global cash register.
