Drake Bell describes how Brian Peck got him alone
Bell, PECK described consciously driving a wedge between him and his boss father Joe Bell (which is also displayed in the ID series and back up his son’s account) so he could spend more time with the teenager, who had a recurring role on The Amanda show Before he was offered his own sitcom, Drake & Josh2004.
Peck would take him to auditions, Bell said, and then get him to sleep over and said it was too late to drive him home again. One night, Bell described, he woke up on the sofa (where he said he always slept) and PECK attacked him sexually.
“I froze and was in complete shock and had no idea what I would do or how I would react,” Bell said, “and I had no idea how to get out of the situation.”
He remembers that Peck was apologetic, but the abuse did not stop-and Bell said he didn’t tell anyone, not even when the mother of his then girlfriend realized something Was wrong and took him to a therapist. He admittedly believed that if he said something, his career would be over.
Eventually he said he “exploded” and told his mother everything, and she immediately called a police officer. Bell said that detective made him give an “incredibly detailed” account of the abuse and then made him call Peck to call on a confession over the phone while they listened to. PECK “just started a full confession,” Bell said, and was then arrested on August 20, 2003.
