Justin Lin to direct Keanu Reeves in ‘Brzrkr’ on Netflix


“Fast and Furious” director Justin Lin will direct Keanu Reeves in “Brzrkr” on Netflix, Thewrap has learned.

“The Batman” screenwriter Mattson Tomlin adjusts the series magazine series for the screen. Reeves will start in and produce the Live Action movie based on “Brzrkr”, a boom! Studios Comic Book Series.

“Brzrkr” was written by Reeves and Matt Kindt, with illustrations by Marvel artist Ron Garney and colors by Bill Crabtree, letter by Clem Robins and character design and cover by Rafael Grampá.

“Brzrkr” is a brutally epic story about an immortal warrior’s 80,000-year struggle through the ages. The man who is only known as “B” is half -god and half god, cursed and forced to violence, even at the victim of his reason. But after walking the earth for centuries, B may finally find a refuge – to work for the US government to fight the fighting for violent and too dangerous for someone else. In exchange, B will be granted the only thing he wishes for his endless blood-wet existence and how to end it.

Reeves will produce the film together with Ross Richie and Stephen Christy for Boom! Studios and Stephen Hamel for business films. Lin also produces through its perfect storm banner.

The move brings together Lin and Reeves again, as Reeves previously invested in Lin’s latest indie drama “Last Days”, which debuted at Sundance in January.
