Kali Uchis Lightly up Los Angeles on Wednesday evening with a surprise that got fans roaring.
The singer brought out no one but Pen weight For the very first live performance of their sulta, Latin Grammy-nominated duet “igual que un Ángel.” Uchis appeared on the stage in gigantic white angel wings, while Peso Pluma appeared in completely black with a big smile on his face. The audience went wild when the duo, brilliant with chemistry, delivered a performance that was equal parts romantic and electric.
Uchis performed at Kia Forum in Ingrlewood for the first of two sold out nights on the arena. She comes back to LA for a night at Intuit Dome in September to close her first North American Arena tour In support of her fifth studio album, “sincerely.”
When Uchis closed in the evening, Uchis closed the set by getting off the stage through a standalone door. However, she returned for a encore that packed an A Capella version of “Territorial” and an atmospheric performance of an unreleased song as seemingly the title “Cry About It.” The ballad has Uchi’s spiritual song buzzing, “Too bad, so sorry / you should cry about it / Cry, cry, until I stop hurting (Crying, cry, until it doesn’t hurt you anymore). ”
