Kevin Smith’s “Dogma” is on his way back to theaters this summer.
Smith collaborates with iconic events for a nationwide screening of a 4K restoration of its long-standing religious Satire on June 5, as part of the 25th anniversary. Baptized “” Dogma: Resurrection, a 25th anniversary celebration, “The screening will serve as the culmination on a live tour that will see Smith stop in different cities, screening of the film and host Live Q & AS.
Other stops on the tour include San Diego, Phoenix, Seattle, Minneapolos, Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas, Boston, New York City and Philadelphia, before being packed at Smith’s own cinema – Smodcastle Cinemas in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.

“‘Dogma’ has a special place in my heart and I am proud that fans will once again see what it was supposed to be experienced on the big screen,” said Mark Rupp, CFO/COO and co-founder of iconic events released.
If you have never seen “dogma”, which is fair given that it has been quite difficult to see in recent years, it follows a couple of murderous fallen angels (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon), who discover a way to come back to heaven – but in this way they threaten all life on earth. The film has a ridiculously wonderful role, which also includes Linda Fiorentino, Jason Lee, Alan Rickman, Chris Rock and of course Jason Mewes and Smith as Jay and Silent Bob.
When the film was first released, it was condemned as blasphemous by the Catholic league, with organized protests that appear where it played. Still, it was a sleeping hit, which earned $ 43.9 million on a budget of only $ 10 million and earned some solid reviews, including one from Roger Ebert, which gave it three and a half stars out of four.
