When Kristen Kish won Top chef Season 10 she did not expect to be back.

Cut to Season 21: The winner returned to his Alma Mater, this time hosting with Veterans (and friends) Gail Simmons and Tom Colicchio. “It felt familiar but also very new at the same time,” Kish says about his return. “It is as convenient and familiar as something so uncomfortable and unknown can be.”

But since he won in 2012, “worth” is not the only title that Kish has added his resume. “Something I have been very passionate about is to bridge what I know that I am a Korean American with other companies and people who are Korean American,” Kish tells E! So when she was contacted to collaborate on her own series of Soju, the answer was a simple yes.

The result is Kish Aperitif. The line has four unique flavors of soju that Kish says “are based on different points in my life and different taste profiles that I am excited about.”

“Because I was adopted, I learn what it means to be Korean to me through others,” explains the chef. “It is therefore to be able to collaborate with a Korean brand and founder was such a special opportunity.”

Kish is not ready to add his resume yet. In April 2025 she releases her debut memoir, Inadvertently on purpose, Available for pre -order now.

But in the middle of it all, she is still very a chef in her heart. We asked Top chef Worth to share the kitchen labels, cooking tools and host must, as she swears at.
