“Mufasa: The Lion King” comes home.
The Barry Jenkins-directed Epic, which serves as both a prequel and a sequel to 2019’s unmimagined “The Lion King”, will debut on Disney+ March 26. This confirms Disney Entertainment Chairman Dana Walden’s Comments last week that the movie would be available “later in March.” Now we know! Look at a new place below:
“Mufasa” was Disney’s big movie last Christmas and premiere on it in theaters on December 20. The movie Stars Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Tiffany Bone, Donald Glover, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Blue Carter and Beyoncé and Beyoncé. It was written by Jeff Nathanson, who wrote 2019 “Lion King” for Jon Favreau. It contained brand new songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, several of which went viral, and a point by Dave Metzger.
Disney+ is the exclusive streaming home for “Mufasa.” It joins other titles from the iconic franchise, including the original “Lion King” from 1994, 2019 “Lion King”, animated series “The Lion Guard” and the recently released “The Lion King at Hollywood Bowl” concert.
“Mufasa” has made more than $ 709 million all over the world, which was enough to make it the seventh highest movie in 2024. It hit Pvod on February 18 but has still stayed in Box Office Top 10 weeks ago.
“Told in Flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned young, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion called Taka – the heir to a royal blood line,” reads the official edition. “The chance meeting starts an expansive journey by an extraordinary group of errors looking for their fate – their bonds will be tested when working together to avoid a threatening and deadly enemy.”
