Lionsgate has released the release of Kingdom Story Company “I can only imagine 2” for March 20, 2026.
John Michael Finley, Milo Ventimiglia, Trace Adkins and Dennis Quaid are among the film’s stars, which will be directed by Andrew Erwin with author Brent McCorkle.
“I can only imagine” with Finley as Bart Millard, the singer writer behind Christian Rock Group Mercyme, and told us about the personal struggles and triumphs that inspired the band’s debut single from which the film bears its name.
The sequel will continue Millard’s story, as he is facing a deeply personal struggle as a father that he cannot fight alone. Millard is a producer on the film together with Erwin, Kevin Downes, Cindy Bond, Daryl Lefever and Joshua Walsh.
“I can only imagine,” produced on a budget of $ 7 million, gathered $ 83 million at checkout in 2018 and established Andrew Erwin and his brother Jon, as one of the best faith -based filmmakers.
With the winnings from the film, they established Kingdom Story Company with a first appearance distribution agreement with Lionsgate which was renewed last year after the company’s successful holiday film, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”
The sequel joins a release slate in March which includes Warner Bros. ‘”The bride!”, Who moved into a March 6 place on Wednesday as part of a slate width shift of the studio, and Lionsgate’s own “Now you see me 3.”
