Live Action “Legend of Zelda” movie have found their link and zelda. Link, the brave young hero in video games, will be played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth while Bo Bragason will play the role of Princess Zelda, Nintendo announced on Wednesday.
Wes Ball, the filmmaker behind the trilogy “Maze Runner” and last year’s restart “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”, directing the feature film’s adaptation of the beloved video game franchis for Nintendo and Sony Pictures.
16-year-old Ainsworth is best known for playing miles in Netflix “The Haunting of Lead Manor” Limited Series. He also played in Disney’s “Flora & Ulysses”, expressed Pinocchio in Disney’s Live-Action “Pinocchio” and led the CBC series “Son of a Critch.”
21-year-old Bragason played in the BBC One series “Three Girls” and “The Jetty” and also appeared in the Disney+ series “Renegade Nell.”
Live -action “Legend of Zelda” movie will be released in theaters on 7 May 2027.
“The Legend of Zelda” debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan on February 21, 1986 and in North America on August 22, 1987. It followed the rude hero link, which is in search of saving Princess Zelda. The game and many of the subsequent games were put in Hyrule. Much of the game, such as Triforce and Dungeon Crawling, has become staples in the franchise. The latest game, “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” came out at Nintendo Switch last fall and allowed you to play as Zelda for the first time.
