Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner to start in ‘One Night Only’


“Top Gun: Maverick” star Monica Barbaro and “Masters of the Air” star Callum Turner will be star opposite to each other in “One Night Only” for universal pictures. The film will be released in August 2026.

Directed by Will Gluck is the film based on his rewrite of Travis Braun’s Black List script, which topped the annual survey of the most liked script on the list last year. Braun’s story takes place in a world where marriage before marriage is only legal for one night each year and follows two strangers who compete to find someone to sleep with.

Gluck previously directed the box office’s hit “Anyone But You”, like the stars Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney. Gluck also led “Friends with benefits”, “Simple A” and more loved romantic comedies. He will produce through Olive Bridge Entertainment.

Jacqueline Monetta, VP at Olive Bridge Entertainment, will monitor and produce with Gluck.

Barbaro previously played as LT Natasha “Phoenix” track in “Top Gun: Maverick”, and recently as Joan Baez in Bob Dylan Biopic “A Complete Unknown.”

At the same time, Turner recently played as May. John ‘Bucky’ Egan in Apple TV+’S “Masters of the Air.” He also played Theseus Scamander in the franchise “Fantastic Beasts”.

“One Night Only” will meet theaters almost exactly one year from now on August 7, 2026.
