Neon’s Together Trailer promises Body Horror and Alison Brie

Ready to get “together?”

The film, which premiered earlier this year in the midnight section of Sundance Film FestivalPlaces the real couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie in a bodybuilding scenario. It has a brand new teaser trailer out Wednesday, which you can look at below (if you dare).

Written and directed by Australian filmmaker Michael Shanks and produced by Brie and Franco, the film was a sensation when it premiered at Sundance and started a bid war, with A24, Apple TV+ and focus functions among the potential distributors. In the end, neon won Distribution rights all over the world to the movie for a huge $ 17 million. It was the first big sale at this year’s sleepy Sundance and made the film even buzzier.

The trailer does not give much away, but the film is said to be a winding metaphor for co -dependency, which you can completely get. The official synopsis reads: “Year into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Franco and BRIE) are at a intersection as they move to the country and abandon everything that is known in their lives except each other.

“Together” is the latest horror movie from Neon, which follows last year’s sleeping smash “Longlegs” from director Osgood Perkins and this year’s “The Monkey”, also from Perkins, who, driven by mouth-to-mouth, only crossed $ 50 million. Other new, neon-distributed horror favorites include de Sydney Sweeney-led “Immaculate”, last year’s wonderful “Cuckoo”, Brandon Cronenberg’s “Infinity Pool” and Steven Soderbergh’s “Presence”, which Neon released earlier this year (and really is good).

“Together” opens on August 1st.
