The first full trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is here and it gives the fans its first proper look at Julia Garners Silver SurferWarning on the arrival of galactus.
“Are you the protectors of this world?” she asks as she flies down the city. “Your planet is now marked for death.”
Of course, panic follows, with Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) who blames itself for the incoming threat. Richards speaks unclear to the public – who has come to love Fantastic Four – admits Richards that he really does not know if the earth is safe. But he and his team promise to protect everyone as well as they can.
To add even more stress to things, Reed and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) have recently found out that they are pregnant. But at least Johnny is pretty stoked to be an uncle.
As an added bonus, yes, we actually get to see Reed’s stretch abilities shown in the new pictures as he jumps through falling debris. In fact, each of the team’s abilities is on a full screen in the trailer. And they will need them because in the last moments of the pictures we see Galactus feet trampling through the city.
“Put against the lively background of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ introduces Marvel’s first family when they face their most frightening challenge yet,” teasing the film’s synopsis.
“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family binding, they must defend the earth from a corporate space as God is called Galactus and his enigmatic herald, silver surfer. And if the galactus’ plans to eat the entire planet and everyone on it was not sufficiently bad, it suddenly becomes very personal.”
