“No Other Land” co -director Hamdan Ballal is now free After being detained on the West Bank, according to his colleagues Yuval Abraham.
“After being handcuffs all night and beaten in a military base, Hamdan Ballal is now free and is about to go home to his family,” Abraham wrote on X Early Tuesday morning.
“Last night, several attackers threw stones at Israeli civilians and injured their vehicles near Sussiya in the Judea-Brigad sector. “After the attack, Hamdan was handcuffs and blindfold all night in an army base while two soldiers hit him on the floor, said his lawyer Leah Tsemel after talking to him right now,” Abraham shared earlier on Tuesday. “He’s still in Kiredat Arba Police Station.”
The latest update comes one day after he first announced Ballal’s prison. “A group of settlers lynched Hamdan Ballal, co director of our film no other country. They beat him and he has injuries to his head and stomach and bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called and took him. No sign of him then.”
Abraham later clarified his first statement and added: “Note: Hamdan was attacked and abused, not murdered. My use of ‘Lynched’ was a Hebrew mission (English is not my first language). He is injured and is held at a police station in a settlement. They did not let his lawyer not yet so we do not know any more.
