Oasis film to be shot during reunion tour

An Oasis concert film will be postponed during the group’s upcoming reunion tour, and they have received some serious filmmakers to immortalize their first concerts in 15 years. Steven Knight, the creator of “Peaky Blinders” and writers behind films such as “Eastern Promises”, will serve as the creator and producer of the film, which will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the duo behind the LCD -Sound System Doktorn “Close and Play Hits.”

No further details or release dates have been announced, and it is unclear if this will be a complete music documentary about how the reunion happened or just focus on the concerts.

After several years of speculation, Noel and Liam Gallagher Luckan buried and announced a tour last year, with dates that extend across the United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil this summer. The tour starts in Cardiff on July 4.

The film is produced by Magna Studios (producers Sam Bridger & Guy Heeley & Executive producers Marisa Clifford & Kate Shepherd).

The project will be distributed by Sony Music Vision. Krista Wegener from Sony Music Vision will lead global sales.
