The Colombian duo Stereobomband the latest Grammy winner The rightsWill soon go on their first tour as a super group. The tour will take both bands across the United States and Canada for 16 shows in support of the release of their self -titled debut album.
“I am really pleased and satisfied with this project,” says Bomba Estéreos Li Saumet Amount. “It’s new and exciting and it gives me the opportunity to add new things to my performance – new characters, new pages of myself – that drive me to leave the comfort zone and go into a more experimental and collaboration space.”
“Astropical“Is a 12-song collection based on tropical music-with inspiration from the South American coast and afrobeats with singing from Bomba Estéos Li Saumet and Rawayana’s Beto Montenegro. The album cover and the titles are the astrologites, with such songs as “Me Pasa (Piscis)” and the happy “Brinca (Acuario).”
The tour will officially be launched on May 24 with a Fuego Fuego festival in Montreal, followed by a date on Queen Elizabeth Theater in Toronto, followed by the beginning of the US date on May 28 at the anthem in Washington, DC The last date is set for September 12 at the Greek Teatern in Greek.
The group will warm up for its joy with scheduled performances at the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, which was set until March 16, and Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá, where they will perform on March 29.
