Sara BareillesThe Jackson Browne and Kristin Chenoweth has been added as honorees and artists, along with the previously announced Wyclef JeanFor a concert gala in New York that benefits music, which is described as the country’s largest non -profit music education program for schools. Org’s annual event takes place on April 9 in Gotham Hall.
Michael Beaarden, the Music Director of This Year Oscars, will segue from the obligation to keep the same role in the music will benefit.
Tickets are available on www.musicwill.org/benefit. Bid for the benefit’s silent auction items, including individual donations from music stars, can be submitted on the website for the music.

Last year’s Honorees were Josh Groban, Second Day and Rhiannon Giddens. Former Honorees and artists at Music Will Benefit have included Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Usher, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello, Tom Morello, Darryl McDaniels from Run-DMC, Yo-Yo Ma, Smokey Robinson, Mavis Staples, Joan.
The co -chair of the event is Terrapin Station Entertainment CEO Jonathan Shank and Gregory Hall, the CEO and the head of the US Global Wealth Management for Pimco.
Receiving the Visionary Award at the event will be Jerry Goldenson, chairman of KHS America, for his commitment to music education.
The evening is presented by The Hot Topic Foundation and will contain performances along with a quiet auction online and comments from artistic and business supporters. The event will provide funding for Music Will’s ongoing assignment to provide teacher education, a multiple curriculum and free musical instruments to students. The organization has a presence in 6,000 schools across the country and over 100,000 instruments donated so far.
