The music mans final curtain call was in January 2023. But that wasn’t the only thing that ended. In September of the same year, Jackman and his wife for 27 years Deborra-Lee Furness announced their split.
“We have been blessed to share nearly 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Corelli costars said in a joint statement to People September 15, 2023. “Our journey now changes and we have decided to separate to continue our individual growth.”
Jackman and Furness share two grown children: Oscar and Ava.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority,” the former couple continued. “We approach this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Jackman and Furness added, “This is the only statement any of us will make.”
Yet they seemed to remain good conditionswith his rope confirming to Page six the two celebrated Jackman’s 55th birthday at the Polo Bar in New York that October and “it was a lovely night.”
Furness also reflected on what she learned about herself over the past year.
“(I learned) that I am strong and resilient,” the actress shared People in May 2024. “And that I – we are all a constant evolution.”
