Testing of Tiktoks Thong -Heatless Curl -Hack: Editorial Experiment

At this point in my life I have tested a lot of hair chop, and if I have learned one thing, it is sometimes the strangest one gives the best results. I’ve tried tightsThe upside down attractsand even different twisted Heatless hair chops to try to get the best possible look.

I have found many winners, but I have also found many duds, and I was not sure which category of Tiktok’s latest obsession would fall into, because all curled hair with lingerie. Yes, you read right – lingerie. And not just some underwear, but a strap.

The first time I encountered this hack was when the Tiktok user Dawn Espana Visits on my Fyp and put it on the test. My jaw immediately lost for, let’s be real, you don’t see it every day. But what really arrested my attention and finally sold me on the idea was her results in the morning. Her hope waves looked like she had just spent some time in the sea, which is where I always strive to be. I had to try the hack for myself.

Espana chose to use a pair of seamless lingerie, but I wanted to use a brand new couple that I had not yet worn, so I stopped using the only unwanted strap I had in my office drawer, a cotton pair. I started with hair that was clean, fresh out of the shower and about 85 percent dry. I divorced it in the middle as I usually do, and then I wrapped my underwear around my head. To do this, I put the larger front part of the fabric above my forehead and the lean straw part on the back of my head.

When I had set it properly, I started to wound a side of my hair around the waist on the strap. I tried to twist everything as tightly as possible because I knew from previous experiments with curls overnight that they tend to loosen while I sleep.

I think there are some ways you can twist your hair – either all together as a large piece or in small sections. I decided to make my hair in smaller sections because I wanted to see a little more definition with each wave.

After I was done with one side, I repeated the process on the other side. I had some hair that stands out on the back, but I just wound those ends as tight as I could. It looked a little messy, but I was hopeful that it would work in the morning.

As mentioned, I have tried a lot of heatless curls overnight on my day, and these were by far the most comfortable sleeping at night. I didn’t think I threw and turned all night trying to get comfortable, and I could actually turn between sleeping on my back and sleeping on my side with zero problems.

When I got out of bed in the morning and slid the strap off my head, I was stoked to see that the results were pretty good. Curls were not as beach -wave as Espanas was in her Tiktok video, but they were good enough for me to leave the house in, and that’s really everything I care about. Since the majority of the strap was centered on my middle part, I really felt that the underwear helped to cut down on frizz at the root of my hair, which I often handle.

The only downside was that I had a little dash on my pan from the seam on the strap, which is probably why Espana chose a seamless alternative in the first place.

Overall, I am satisfied with the results from using a strap to curl my hair. Who would have thought? If you have been looking for a heatless curl chop overnight that is easy to do and comfortable to sleep in, I would recommend that you try. After all, everything you need is a pair of lingerie.
