Strangio was the lawyer who argued for the United States against Skrmetti, which was about whether the state of Tennessee had the constitutional authority to prevent trans young people from receiving gender -affirming care as puberty blockers and hormone therapy. “Feder forms another convincing argument against transfit, albeit one that is immediacy proves much more difficult,” the review states.
And that it is undoubtedly recognized by Feder, who told Deadline that the Supreme Court’s decision only increased the importance of the documentary being in theaters. “Releasing the film on the heel of the devastating Supreme Court’s decision (LW against Skrmetti) last week, we turn our focus on work forward with renewed conviction – giving the film to the audience,” Feder and Scholder said in a previous statement. “In a mainstream media climate that is increasingly hostile to the trans community, the film is investigating why and how we have come at this moment. While the right for everyone to access health care is a basic democratic value, why has it become a debate when it comes to transliv? We made this movie that captures a historic moment of the lasting struggle, in release; Against all of us.
